ENGLISH VERSION

1. Please use three words to describe yourself.

Optimistic, happy, chill

2. How many countries have you been to?

I would say around 10; just to list a few – Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore, etc.

3. How many sports do you play & what’s your favorite sport?

Swimming, sailing, snowboarding, and volleyball. My favorite is snowboarding.

4. What role do you think you play in The Storytellers’ team?

Someone who can contribute and work collaboratively with the rest of the team, maybe also the social part.

5. What’s your biggest wish/dream?

I hope to have the ability and choice to do the things I love to do, like I can snowboard when I want to snowboard and I won’t be restricted financially.

6. Why did you join The Storytellers?

I study at an international school, and I see stereotypes and stigmatization happening in my school, even though my school’s mission is to bring people with different cultural backgrounds together. In other words, I’ve seen situations where people face racism or stereotypes, and I want to be a part of a mission that aims to make some kind of change. The Storytellers is a good platform that shares people’s stories and helps the audience become more accepting to others, and I just love the idea of promoting cultural understanding.

7. If you could travel back in time, which year would you travel to and why？

I would love to go back to the age of four, because I wish I started snowboarding at a younger age. I was actually hoping to become a professional snowboarder (Benetta: wow!). Snowboarding is just something I wish to continue to do for as long as possible!

8. What is your motivation/What motivates you to work hard?

I hope to have the financial ability to do the things I love to do in the future, and in order to have the financial ability, I have to work hard!

9. Use 2-3 sentences to introduce the other people on the Storytellers’ team!

Benetta is super responsible and passionate. She probably pulled all-nighters to work on this project…She’s getting ready for her SAT and is working super hard!! She contributed a lot, and I would say that without her, we probably would be less productive and move at a much slower pace.

Ami is someone who contributes a lot too. She always brings up new ideas for our project, including new topics to include, how we can arrange our schedule. She travels a lot and has been to a lot of cool countries!

Lily tries so hard to contribute! She’s in China so the time difference is hard for her, but she makes the greatest effort to help and contribute! She’s also the little baby in our team :)

10. Please recommend the storytellers to our audience!!

The Storytellers is a great platform for you to share your stories. We aim to break cultural barriers and help more people. Your stories will definitely help and motivate others who are experiencing cultural barriers or misunderstood. We are four girls who have passion for raising multicultural awareness, and we all believe in the power of storytelling. We hope to see and share more stories and share to help more people solve the problems they may face in society. (yay!)

游泳，帆船，滑雪，排球。我最喜欢的运动是滑雪。

5. 你最大的愿望或梦想是什么？

我希望我可以有能力和选择来做我喜欢做的事情，比如说，我想滑雪的时候就可以滑雪，而不会被经济限制。

6. 你为什么加入了“叙述者”？

我在一所国际学校上学，但即使我的学校的使命是让多种文化背景的人团结起来，我还是会看到刻板印象和污名化的现象发生。换句话说，因为我看到过人们经历种族歧视或者刻板印象，所以我希望帮助做出改变。“叙述者”是一个很好的分享故事和帮助人们更好地接受他人的平台，我也很喜欢增进文化理解的这个想法和初衷。

7. 如果可以时光旅行到过去的某一年，你会回到哪一年？为什么?

我想回到四岁那一年，因为我希望我可以早一点开始滑雪。我之前甚至想成为一个专业滑雪运动员（Benetta：wow!!） 滑雪是一项我希望我可以一直坚持地运动！

8. 你的动力来源于哪里呢？

我希望以后可以有经济条件做我喜欢做的事情，所以我努力想获得这种经济条件。

9. 请用两三句话来形容一下叙述者团队的其余人叭！

Benetta 非常负责，对我们的使命很热情。她很有可能为我们这个项目熬过夜… 她正在准备她的SAT考试所以在非常努力地学习！她贡献了很多，可以说如果没有她，我们不会这么高效。

Ami也贡献了很多。她总是会给我们提供新的想法，包括可以考虑的新的主题啊，还有怎么安排我们的时间和计划。她经常旅行，去过很多国家！

Lily非常非常努力！她在中国所以时差问题对她来说可能是个很大的挑战，但是她默默克服了~ 她很努力地帮助我们推动计划。她也是我们团队的“忙内”。

10. 请用一段话来给大家推荐一下叙述者！

“叙述者”是一个很棒的分享故事的平台。我们希望扫除文化障碍从而帮助到更多的人。你的故事一定可以帮助正在经历文化障碍或者被误解的人群，给他们带来新的动力。我们是四个非常希望增加多文化交流意识和促进多文化理解的女孩，并且我们都很相信故事的力量。我们希望分享更多的故事来帮助更多的人！
